July 27, 2020/ Premiere Activation Chambord x Bye Bye Plastic
On July 27th, Dance4aCause is activating its first online benefit with a livestream by Chambord broadcasting from a UNESCO site in the Loire Valley in France.
Artists & Positive Impact
From the beginning, musicians, DJs & artists have been connecting with fans and making them feel good with their music. During quarantine, livestreams of performances have transformed fans and made them smile through their fears, at times compelling them to dance. Dancing releases endorphins and is a cardio workout that helps fans feel better.
Dance4aCause was activated by Cecilia Pagkalinawan, an entrepreneur, activist, and an avid dancer and festival goer in 2013 to raise funds for victims of Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines which was a category 5 storm and caused significant damage across 7000 islands which affected 44 million people, destroying 1.1 million. Homes displacing 4.1 million people and killing 6000 people.
Reactivated in 2020
Cecilia decided to reactivate Dance4aCause during quarantine in NYC. Friends from all over the world were getting sick and she was in fear for their lives. She decided to turn her fears into positive energy by promising to do a dance and post the videos on instagram and facebook every time she heard of a friend or family member who survived Covid.
Dance4aCause is seeking philanthropists and sponsors to pay anywhere from $0.10 to $1.00 per fan post showing themselves dancing on instagram and facebook to Chambord’s livestream tagging @wearechambord and #byebyeplastic.
Sponsors will help spread positive vibes and joy to a global network of music lovers, getting everyone to get up and dance.
